4 ALTERNATIVES IF YOU SUffer FROM DIASTASIS Still 4 ALTERNATIVES IF YOU SUffer FROM DIASTASIS
Still doing crunches and mountain climbers? If you have diastasis recti, these moves could be doing more harm than good. 🚫

📖Diastasis recti is the separation of the abdominal muscles along the midline — it commonly happens during pregnancy, but it can also show up from repeated core strain, poor movement patterns, or simply weak deep core support. The problem? Many of the “classic” ab exercises actually increase the pressure on that midline instead of helping it heal.

Here’s what to avoid ❌and what to do ✅instead:

🔁 Instead of Crunches → do this variation
🔁 Instead of Oblique Crunches → do this variation
🔁 Instead of Mountain Climbers → do this variation
🔁 Instead of Double Leg Raises → do this variation

These alternatives work your deep core safely, without adding pressure to an already compromised midline.

❗️Important: if your diastasis is more advanced, yoga and safe movement can support you, but they’re not a substitute for a proper diagnosis. Please work with a pelvic floor physio or specialist who can assess your specific case.💕

Sometimes relaxation gets sooo deep... you don’t Sometimes relaxation gets sooo deep... you don’t even notice the sea creeping up on your mat. 😅🌊

This wasn’t planned. But it might be the most fast and intense savasana I’ve ever had.

Savasana (Corpse Pose) is often called “the hardest pose in yoga” — not because of the shape, but because of what it asks: to do absolutely nothing, on purpose.

Here’s what those still minutes actually do for your body and mind:
🧠 Shifts your nervous system from “fight or flight” into “rest and repair”
💓 Lowers heart rate and blood pressure
😮‍💨 Deepens breathing naturally, without forcing it
🌊 Helps your body absorb the benefits of the practice that came before it
✨ Trains you to be present — even when nothing is happening

We spend so much energy doing.
Savasana is the practice of simply being.

Even if the tide starts creeping toward your mat. 😅

👉 Comment “SAVASANA” and I’ll send you a free audio to relax during this pose …hopefully without falling asleep... or getting your mat wet 🌊)

LOCATION: San Nicolò LIGHTHOUSE is located at the northern tip of the island, at the end of the long breakwater (about 2–2.5 km on foot or by bike, crossing the pine grove behind Nicelli Airport), marking the northern entrance to the lagoon, between Punta Sabbioni and the Lido.

Fun fact: it is painted bright red, and along the path some visitors have found handwritten phrases — even a poem — on the concrete blocks, possibly left by a member of the crew that built it.

It’s a very evocative and quiet spot, surrounded by sea on both sides, especially popular in summer; from across the channel you can also see the yellow lighthouse of Punta Sabbioni.

❗️Drinking more water and eating healthy well helps…
But if you’re not actually moving your 🦶FEET and LEGS🦵 with
targeted exercises, fluids stagnate and swelling gets worse.

✔️ boosts CIRCULATION
✔️ activates VENOUS RETURN
✔️ reduces WATER RETENTION and SWELLING

One pose. So many benefits. Downward Dog is one o One pose. So many benefits.

Downward Dog is one of the most complete yoga poses. 🥰

Take a slow breath.
Let go of tension.
Feel your whole body lengthen.🌱
It gently lengthens the entire posterior chain: calves, hamstrings, glutes, and the muscles along the spine.

But remember: the goal is not to force your heels down or straighten your knees at all costs.

Keep a soft bend in your knees if needed — your heels don’t have to touch the mat to get the benefits.

The movement comes from your hips, not from rounding or collapsing your lower back.

Think: long spine, relaxed shoulders, and space to breathe.
SAVE this for the days when your body feels stiff. ⏬️
🌿 Reverse Warrior (Viparita Virabhadrasana) Is 🌿 Reverse Warrior (Viparita Virabhadrasana)

Is a beautiful pose to create space in the body.

It stretches the side body, opens the chest, and improves mobility in the hips and spine.

After hours sitting at a desk or looking at screens, we often collapse forward. This pose helps you expand, breathe deeper, and reconnect with a taller posture.

🌿 Extended Side Angle Pose (Utthita Parsvakonasana)
Is a powerful combination of strength and flexibility.

This pose works on the entire body:

- strengthens the legs and glutes;
- opens the hips and inner thighs;
- stretches the side waist and intercostal muscles (the muscles between the ribs);
- improves balance, stability, and posture.

By creating more space around the rib cage, it can help you breathe more freely and feel less “compressed”.
➡️Save this for your work breaks or for when you’re short in time💪🏾💕
